- Clean Regularly: in between professional cleans you can soak your piece in warm soapy water (recommended for natural gemstones) for a few minutes, then brush lightly with a very soft toothbrush, rinse with water and pat dry.
- Store with Care: Keep your jewellery in a fabric-lined case or a soft pouch, separate from other pieces to avoid scratches.
- Avoid Chemicals: Exposure to chemicals can tarnish your precious pieces. Remove your jewellery before applying perfumes, lotions, or when swimming in chlorinated water.
- Take Off During Heavy Tasks: To prevent damage, remove your jewellery during tasks that may cause excessive wear, such as exercising or cleaning. For engagement rings, never wear them while working out.
- Professional Check-Up: We recommend having your jewellery professionally cleaned and serviced by a jeweller at least once a year to keep your pieces in perfect condition. This is particularly important for pieces with prongs or clasps such as tennis bracelets and necklaces which can loosen with everyday wear. If you feel this happening please immediately take off the piece and have the clasp tightened.
